Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ حَسَّانَ الْمَخْزُومِيَّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " كَلاَمُ ابْنِ آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ لاَ لَهُ إِلاَّ الأَمْرَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّهْىَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَذِكْرَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Umm Habibah (may Allah be well pleased with her), the wife of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated:“The words of the son of Adam (upon him be peace) count against him, not for him, except what is good and forbidding what is evil, and remembering Allah.”
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: انسان کی ہر بات کا اس پر وبال ہو گا، اور کسی بات سے فائدہ نہ ہو گا سوائے امر بالمعروف اور نہی عن المنکر اور ذکر الٰہی کے ۔
