حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، قَالَ سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فِي ثَلاَثِ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنَ الْعَصْرِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَدَخَلَ الْحُجْرَةَ فَقَامَ الْخِرْبَاقُ رَجُلٌ بَسِيطُ الْيَدَيْنِ فَنَادَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقَصُرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ؟ فَخَرَجَ مُغْضَبًا يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ. فَسَأَلَ، فَأُخْبِرَ. فَصَلَّى تِلْكَ الرَّكْعَةَ الَّتِي كَانَ تَرَكَ. ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ. ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ. ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ .
English Translation
It was narrated that Hadrat 'Imran bin Husain said:“The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated the Salam after three Rak’ah for ‘Asr, then he stood up and went into the apartment. Khirbaq, a man with big hands, stood up and called out: ‘O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Has the prayer been shortened?’ He came out angrily, dragging his lower garment, and asked about it, and was told (what had happened). So he performed the Rak’ah that he had omitted, then he said the Salam, then he prostrated twice and said the Salam again.”
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے نماز عصر میں تین ہی رکعت پر سلام پھیر دیا، پھر اٹھے اور حجرہ میں تشریف لے گئے، تو لمبے ہاتھوں والے خرباق ( رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) کھڑے ہوئے اور پکارا: اللہ کے رسول! کیا نماز کم ہو گئی ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم غصہ کی حالت میں اپنا تہبند گھسیٹتے ہوئے نکلے، اور لوگوں سے پوچھا، تو اس کے بارے میں آپ کو خبر دی گئی، تو آپ نے چھوٹی ہوئی ایک رکعت پڑھائی، پھر سلام پھیرا، پھر دو سجدے کئے، پھر سلام پھیرا۔
