Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ضَرَبَ مَثَلَ الْجُمُعَةِ ثُمَّ التَّبْكِيرِ، كَنَاحِرِ الْبَدَنَةِ، كَنَاحِرِ الْبَقَرَةِ، كَنَاحِرِ الشَّاةِ، حَتَّى ذَكَرَ الدَّجَاجَةَ .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Samurah bin Jundab (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) described the likeness of Friday, saying that those who come earliest are like the one who sacrifices a camel, then like one who sacrifices a cow, then like one who sacrifices a sheep, until he made mention of a chicken
Urdu Translation
حضرت سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے جمعہ اور جمعہ کے لیے سویرے آنے والے کی مثال اونٹ قربان کرنے والے، گائے قربان کرنے والے اور بکری قربان کرنے والے کی بیان فرمائی ہے، یہاں تک کہ مرغی ( کی قربانی ) کا بھی ذکر فرمایا۔
