حَدَّثَنَايَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: ثَنَاالْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْخَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْأَبِي قِلابَةَ، عَنْأَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" صَلَّى صَلاةَ الْعَصْرِ ثَلاثَ رَكَعَاتٍ فَسَلَّمَ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ، فَصَلَّى رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ".
English Translation
Narrated Imran ibn Husain (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed the Asr prayer with only three rak'ahs and gave the salutation. When he was told about it, he prayed one more rak'ah, then gave the salutation, then performed two prostrations (of forgetfulness), then gave the salutation again.

سیدنا عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے نماز عصر کی تین رکعات پڑھا کر سلام پھیر دیا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو بتایا گیا، تو ایک رکعت مزید پڑھائی، پھر سلام پھیرنے کے بعد دو سجدے کیے اور پھر سلام پھیر دیا۔[المنتقى ابن الجارود/كتاب الصلاة/حدیث: 245]
