أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ كَانَ يَرْمِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ لَيَنْظُرَ أَيْنَ يَقَعُ نَبْلُهُ فَيَتَطَاوَلُ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ بِصَدْرِهِ يَقِي بِهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَيَقُولُ هَكَذَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ جَعَلَنِي اللَّهُ فِدَاكَ نَحْرِي دُونَ نَحْرِكَ «
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that Abu Talhah used to shoot arrows in front of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would raise his head from behind him to see where his arrows landed. Abu Talhah would raise his chest to shield the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and say: "Like this, O Prophet of Allah! May Allah make me your ransom — my chest before your chest!"
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ابو طلحہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے آگے تیر مارتے تھے اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے پیچھے سے سر اٹھا کر دیکھتے کہ ان کے تیر کہاں گرتے ہیں۔ ابو طلحہ اپنا سینہ اونچا کرتے تاکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو بچا سکیں اور کہتے: ایسے رہیں یا نبی اللہ! اللہ مجھے آپ پر فدا کرے، میرا سینہ آپ کے سینے سے آگے ہے!
