أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ نَظَرَ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ لَأَبْصَرَنَا مِنْ تَحْتِ قَدَمِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا ظَنُّكَ بِاثْنَيْنِ اللَّهُ ثَالِثُهُمَا»
English Translation
Anas ibn Malik narrated from Abu Bakr who said: I said to the Prophet (peace be upon him) while we were in the cave: If one of them were to look under his foot, he would see us from under his foot. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'What do you think of two, when Allah is the third of them?'
