أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ بِالْكَرَجِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ «أَلَسْتُ أَحَقَّ النَّاسِ بِهَذَا الْأَمْرِ؟ أَلَسْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ؟ أَلَسْتُ صَاحِبَ كَذَا؟ أَلَسْتُ صَاحِبَ كَذَا؟ »
English Translation
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq said: 'Am I not the most entitled of people to this matter? Am I not the first to accept Islam? Am I not the companion of such-and-such? Am I not the companion of such-and-such?'
