أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى ابْنَ صَائِدٍ فِي سِكَّةٍ مِنْ سِكَكِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَسَبَّهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَوَقَعَ فِيهِ فَانْتَفَخَ حَتَّى سَدَّ الطَّرِيقَ فَضَرَبَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بِعَصًا فَسَكَنَ حَتَّى عَادَ فَانْتَفَخَ حَتَّى سَدَّ الطَّرِيقَ فَضَرَبَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بِعَصًا مَعَهُ حَتَّى كَسَرَهَا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ حَفْصَةُ مَا شَأْنُكَ وَشَأْنُهُ مَا يُولِعُكَ بِهِ أَمَا سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّمَا يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ مِنْ غَضْبَةٍ يَغْضَبُهَا»
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna informed us, Abu Khaythamah narrated to us, Rawh ibn Aslam narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us from Ayyub and Ubaydullah ibn Umar from Nafi that Ibn Umar saw Ibn Sa'id in one of the streets of Madinah. He spoke to him with some words, and he swelled up until he filled the street. Ibn Umar struck him with a stick until it broke upon him. Hafsah said to Ibn Umar: "What do you want with him? Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed, his emergence will be due to anger that he becomes enraged with.'"
