أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يَجِدُ مِنَ الدَّقَلِ مَا يَمْلَأُ بَطْنَهُ وَهُوَ جَائِعٌ»
English Translation
Hadrat al-Nu'man ibn Bashir (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) could not find enough of the lowest quality dates to fill his stomach, and he was hungry."
Urdu Translation
حضرت نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو گھٹیا کھجوریں بھی اتنی نہ ملتیں کہ پیٹ بھر لیں اور آپ بھوکے رہتے تھے۔"
