أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ عَطَسَ رَجُلَانِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَشَمَّتَ أَحَدَهُمَا أَوْ قَالَ فَسَمَّتَ أَحَدَهُمَا وَلَمْ يُشَمِّتِ الْآخَرَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ رَجُلَانِ عَطَسَا فَشَمَّتَّ أَحَدَهُمَا وَتَرَكْتَ الْآخَرَ؟ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمْ يَحْمَدْهُ»
English Translation
Al-Fadl bin Al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: Musaddad bin Musarhad narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, he said: Sulaiman Al-Taymi narrated to us from Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: Two men sneezed in the presence of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so he said «yarhamuk Allah» (may Allah have mercy on you) to one of them, but did not say it to the other. So it was said to him: Two men sneezed, so you said it to one and left the other? He said: «This one praised Allah, and this one did not praise Him.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی موجودگی میں دو آدمیوں نے چھینکا، تو آپ نے ایک کو «یرحمک اللہ» (اللہ تم پر رحم کرے) کہا، لیکن دوسرے کو نہیں کہا۔ تو آپ سے عرض کیا گیا: دو آدمیوں نے چھینکا، تو آپ نے ایک کو کہا اور دوسرے کو چھوڑ دیا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: «یہ شخص نے اللہ کی حمد کی، اور اس نے اللہ کی حمد نہیں کی۔»
