أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الثَّوْرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدِ فَكَأَنَّمَا غَمَسَ يَدَهُ فِي لَحْمِ خِنْزِيرٍ وَدَمِهِ»
English Translation
It is narrated from Buraydah (may Allah be well pleased with him) from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «Whoever plays backgammon is like one who dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of swine.»
Urdu Translation
سلیمان بن بریدہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «جس نے نرد کھیلا تو گویا اس نے اپنا ہاتھ خنزیر کے گوشت اور خون میں ڈبویا۔»
