Ḥadīth | Ibn Ḥibbān (ابن حبّان) ibnhibban:5813 ذِكْرُ الْعِلَّةِ الَّتِي مِنْ أَجْلِهَا زُجِرَ عَنْ هَذَا الْفِعْلِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِحَرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
English Translation
Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated regarding the reason for which this practice was prohibited — mentioning the cause of the prohibition of using the Prophet's kunyah.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اس عمل کی ممانعت کی وجہ بیان کی گئی ہے — نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی کنیت رکھنے کی ممانعت کا سبب بیان ہوا ہے۔
