English Translation
Abu Yahya ibn Abi Masarrah narrated to us, Sulayman ibn Harb narrated to us, Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about soothsayers, and he said: «They are nothing.» They said: O Messenger of Allah, they tell us something and it comes true. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «That is a word of truth that the jinn snatches and cackles into the ear of his ally, but they mix with it a hundred lies.»
