أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مَمْلَكٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَثْقَلَ مَا وُضِعَ فِي مِيزَانِ الْمُؤْمِنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خُلُقٌ حَسَنٌ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبْغِضُ الْفَاحِشَ الْبَذِيءَ»
English Translation
Abu Khalifa informed us, Ali ibn al-Madini narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Amr ibn Dinar, from Ibn Abi Mulayaka, from Ya'la ibn Mamlak, from Umm al-Darda', from Abu al-Darda', from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: 'Indeed, the heaviest thing to be placed in the believer's scale on the Day of Resurrection is good character. Allah hates the obscene and vulgar person.'
