أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغَفَّلِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْكِلَابَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ لَأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا فَاقْتُلُوا مِنْهَا الْأَسْوَدَ الْبَهِيمَ» قَالَ «وَأَيُّمَا قَوْمٍ اتَّخَذُوا كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ حَرْثٍ أَوْ صَيْدٍ أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ» قَالَ وَكُنَّا نُؤْمَرُ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا نُصَلِّيَ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ فَإِنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ
English Translation
Abu Khalifa informed us, Musaddad ibn Musarhad narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Yunus ibn Ubayd narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Abdullah ibn al-Mughaffal who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Were it not that dogs are a community among communities, I would have ordered their killing. So kill from among them the solid black one.' He said: 'And whichever people keep a dog that is not a farm dog, hunting dog, or livestock dog, one qirat will be deducted from their reward every day.' He said: And we were commanded to pray in sheep pens but not to pray in camel resting places, for they were created from devils.
