أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ* عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَسْتَخْدِمُهُ فَقَالَ ﷺ «أَلَا أَدُلُّكِ أَوْ أُعَلِّمُكِ مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ إِذَا أَوَيْتِ إِلَى فِرَاشِكِ فَسَبِّحِي وَكَبِّرِي وَهَلِّلِي ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَأَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ» قَالَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ فَلَمْ أَدَعْهَا مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالُوا وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ؟ قَالَ وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Azdi informed us, he said: Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: Sufyan informed us, from Ubaydullah ibn Abi Yazid, from Mujahid, from Abdul Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from Ali, that Fatima came to the Prophet ﷺ asking him for a servant. So the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Shall I not guide you or teach you what is better for you than that? When you go to your bed, glorify, magnify, and exalt Allah thirty-three, thirty-three, and thirty-four times.' Ali said: 'I have not abandoned it since I heard it from the Prophet ﷺ.' They said: 'Not even on the night of Siffin?' He said: 'Not even on the night of Siffin.'
