English Translation
Umar ibn Muhammad al-Hamdani informed us, he said: Bundar narrated to us, he said: Muhammad narrated to us, he said: Shu'ba narrated to us, from Amr ibn Murra, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, who said: Mu'awiya came to Medina and addressed us, and brought out a tuft of hair and said: "I did not think anyone would do this except the Jews. Indeed, it reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he named it az-zur (falsehood)."
