English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, the client of Thaqif, informed us, he said: Al-Walid ibn Shuja' narrated to us, he said: Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from Ubaydullah ibn Umar, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ adopted a gold ring, so the people adopted gold rings. Then he threw it from his hand and said: "I will never wear it." And he adopted a silver ring, and made its stone facing his palm, and engraved in it 'Muhammad Rasul Allah' (Muhammad the Messenger of Allah). It remained on his hand until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away.
