أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ وَهِيَ مِنْ خَمْسَةٍ مِنَ الْعِنَبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالْعَسَلِ وَالْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ وَمَا خَامَرَ الْعَقْلَ فَهُوَ خَمْرٌ» ثَلَاثٌ وَدِدْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا عَهْدًا نَنْتَهِي إِلَيْهِ الْجَدُّ وَالْكَلَالَةُ وَأَبْوَابٌ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الرِّبَا
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: I heard Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) saying on this pulpit: "O people, the prohibition of wine was revealed, and it is made from five things: grapes, dates, honey, wheat, and barley. And wine (khamr) is whatever clouds the intellect." Then he said: Three things I wish the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had made a clear covenant with us about that we could refer to: the grandfather (in inheritance), the kalalah (one who dies without parents or children), and some matters of usury.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے: میں نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو اس منبر پر فرماتے سنا: اے لوگو! شراب کی حرمت نازل ہوئی اور وہ پانچ چیزوں سے بنتی ہے: انگور، کھجور، شہد، گندم اور جو۔ اور خمر وہ ہے جو عقل پر پردہ ڈالے۔ پھر فرمایا: تین چیزیں ہیں جن کے بارے میں کاش رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہم سے واضح عہد فرما جاتے جس پر ہم عمل کرتے: دادا (کی وراثت)، کلالہ (جو بغیر والدین یا اولاد کے فوت ہو) اور ربا کے بعض ابواب۔
