أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ»
English Translation
Hadrat Talha ibn Ubaydullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that two men came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), both having accepted Islam at the same time. One of them used to exert himself more than the other. The one who exerted himself went on a military expedition and was martyred. The other one lived for a year after him, then he died. Talha said: I saw in my dream that I was at the gate of Paradise, and there they both were. Someone came out from Paradise and gave permission to the one who died last. Then he came out and gave permission to the one who was martyred. Then he returned to me and said: Go back, for your time has not yet come. Talha woke up and mentioned it to the people, and they were amazed. News of that reached the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so he stated: «What are you amazed at?» They said: O Messenger of Allah, this one exerted himself more, and he was martyred in the way of Allah, yet the other one entered Paradise before him. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Did he not remain after him for a year?» They said: Yes. He stated: «And did Ramadan not come, and did he not fast, and did he not perform such-and-such number of prostrations in that year?» They said: Yes. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The difference between them is greater than the difference between the heavens and the earth.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت طلحہ بن عبیداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ دو آدمی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، دونوں نے ایک ہی وقت میں اسلام قبول کیا تھا۔ ان میں سے ایک دوسرے سے زیادہ محنت کرتا تھا۔ جو محنت کرتا تھا وہ غزوے میں گیا اور شہید ہو گیا۔ دوسرا اس کے بعد ایک سال زندہ رہا، پھر فوت ہو گیا۔ طلحہ نے کہا: میں نے خواب میں دیکھا کہ میں جنت کے دروازے پر ہوں، اور وہ دونوں وہاں ہیں۔ کوئی جنت سے نکلا اور جو بعد میں فوت ہوا اسے اجازت دی۔ پھر وہ نکلا اور شہید کو اجازت دی۔ پھر وہ میرے پاس واپس آیا اور کہا: واپس جاؤ، کیونکہ تمہارا وقت ابھی نہیں آیا۔ طلحہ بیدار ہوئے اور لوگوں سے ذکر کیا، اور وہ حیران ہوئے۔ اس کی خبر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو پہنچی، تو آپ نے فرمایا: «تم کس بات پر حیران ہو؟» انہوں نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! یہ زیادہ محنت کرتا تھا، اور اللہ کی راہ میں شہید ہوا، پھر بھی دوسرا اس سے پہلے جنت میں داخل ہوا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «کیا وہ اس کے بعد ایک سال باقی نہیں رہا؟» انہوں نے کہا: ہاں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: «اور کیا رمضان نہیں آیا، اور کیا اس نے روزے نہیں رکھے، اور کیا اس نے اس سال میں اتنے سجدے نہیں کیے؟» انہوں نے کہا: ہاں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «ان دونوں کے درمیان فرق آسمان اور زمین کے فرق سے بھی زیادہ ہے۔»
