أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مُحِلِّ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فَبِكَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ»
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent him and Mu'adh to Yemen, he stated to both of them: "Make things easy and do not make them difficult, give glad tidings and do not repel people, and agree with each other and do not differ."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اور معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ کو یمن بھیجا تو آپ نے دونوں سے فرمایا: "آسانی پیدا کرو اور مشکل نہ بناؤ، خوشخبری دو اور لوگوں کو نفرت نہ دلاؤ، اور آپس میں اتفاق کرو اور اختلاف نہ کرو۔"
