أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ «قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَبْدُرُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ»
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was asked: "Which people are best?" He stated: "My generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then there will come a people whose testimony will precede their oath and whose oath will precede their testimony."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ (بن مسعود) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا: کون سے لوگ سب سے بہتر ہیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: میرا زمانہ، پھر جو ان کے بعد آئیں، پھر جو ان کے بعد آئیں۔ پھر ایسے لوگ آئیں گے جن کی گواہی ان کی قسم سے آگے نکل جائے گی اور ان کی قسم ان کی گواہی سے آگے نکل جائے گی۔
