أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «ثَلَاثٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا يَتْرُكُهُنَّ أَهْلُ الْإِسْلَامِ النِّيَاحَةُ وَالِاسْتِسْقَاءُ بِالْأَنْوَاءِ وَالتَّعَايُرُ»
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Three things are from the practices of the Age of Ignorance that the people of Islam will not abandon: wailing, seeking rain through the stars, and reviling lineage.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'تین چیزیں جاہلیت کے اعمال میں سے ہیں جنہیں اہل اسلام نہیں چھوڑیں گے: نوحہ کرنا، ستاروں سے بارش طلب کرنا، اور نسب میں طعن کرنا۔'
