أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ بْنِ رِبْعِيٍّ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُرَّ عَلَيْهِ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَقَالَ «مُسْ��َرِيحٌ وَمُسْتَرَاحٌ مِنْهُ» فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنِ الْمُسْتَرِيحُ وَالْمُسْتَرَاحُ مِنْهُ؟ فَقَالَ «الْعَبْدُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يَسْتَرِيحُ مِنْ نَصَبِ الدُّنْيَا وَأَذَاهَا إِلَى رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَرَاحُ مِنْهُ الْعَبْدُ الْفَاجِرُ يَسْتَرِيحُ مِنْهُ الْعِبَادُ وَالْبِلَادُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَابُّ»
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Qatadah ibn Rib'i (may Allah be well pleased with him) used to narrate that a funeral was brought past the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and he stated: "One who finds rest, and one from whom others find rest." They submitted: "O Messenger of Allah, who is the one who finds rest and the one from whom others find rest?" He stated: "The believing servant finds rest from the toil and harm of this world, proceeding to the mercy of Allah. And the one from whom others find rest is the wicked servant — the servants, the lands, the trees, and the animals find rest from him."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوقتادہ بن ربعی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے سامنے سے ایک جنازہ گزرا تو آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: "مستریح اور مستراح منہ۔" لوگوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! مستریح اور مستراح منہ کون ہے؟ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: "مومن بندہ دنیا کی تھکاوٹ اور تکلیف سے آرام پاکر اللہ کی رحمت کی طرف چلا جاتا ہے۔ اور مستراح منہ فاجر بندہ ہے جس سے بندے، شہر، درخت اور جانور سب آرام پاتے ہیں۔"
