أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُخْرِجُ الْعَوَاتِقَ وَذَوَاتِ الْخُدُورِ وَالْحُيَّضَ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ فَأَمَّا الْحُيَّضُ فَيَعْتَزِلْنَ الْمُصَلَّى وَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَقَالَتْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِإِحْدَانَا جِلْبَابٌ؟ قَالَ «لِتُعِرْهَا جِلْبَابِهَا»
English Translation
Hadrat Umm 'Atiyyah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would bring out the young unmarried women, those who remain in seclusion, and those who are menstruating on the day of Eid. As for the menstruating women, they would stay away from the prayer area but witness the good and the supplication of the Muslims. One of them asked: "What if one of us does not have an outer garment (jilbab)?" He stated: «Let her companion lend her one of her garments.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ عطیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عید کے دن کنواری لڑکیوں، پردہ نشین عورتوں اور حائضہ عورتوں کو باہر نکالتے تھے۔ حائضہ عورتیں نماز کی جگہ سے الگ رہتیں لیکن خیر اور مسلمانوں کی دعا میں شریک ہوتیں۔ ان میں سے ایک نے عرض کیا: اگر ہم میں سے کسی کے پاس جلباب نہ ہو؟ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: «اس کی ساتھی اپنا جلباب اسے عاریتاً دے۔»
