أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ أَوْ يَسْتَخْبِرَ»
English Translation
Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: 'My mother died and she owed a month of fasting. Should I fast on her behalf?' He said: 'Do you not think that if your mother owed a debt you would pay it?' She said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then a debt to Allah is more worthy of being paid.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کوئی مسجد میں داخل ہو تو بیٹھنے یا پوچھنے سے پہلے دو رکعتیں پڑھے۔
