أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ* حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي شَدَّادٌ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ قَالَ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا فَأَقِمْهُ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «هَلْ تَوَضَّأْتَ حِينَ أَقْبَلْتَ؟ » قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «صَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا؟ » قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَاذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ غَفَرَ لَكَ»
English Translation
Ahmad bin Ali bin al-Muthanna narrated to us. He said: Yahya bin Sa'id narrated to us from Hisham bin Urwah. He said: My father narrated to me from Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a Jewess came to her and mentioned the punishment of the grave, and she said to her: May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave. So Aishah asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the punishment of the grave. He said: "Yes, the punishment of the grave is real." Aishah said: After that, I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offer any prayer except that he sought refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave.
Urdu Translation
ہمیں احمد بن علی بن مثنیٰ نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا: ہمیں یحییٰ بن سعید نے ہشام بن عروہ سے حدیث بیان کی، انہوں نے کہا: مجھے میرے والد نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے حدیث بیان کی کہ ان کے پاس ایک یہودی عورت آئی اور اس نے قبر کے عذاب کا ذکر کیا، اور اس نے ان سے کہا: اللہ آپ کو قبر کے عذاب سے بچائے۔ پس حضرت عائشہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے قبر کے عذاب کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: "ہاں، قبر کا عذاب حق ہے۔" حضرت عائشہ نے کہا: اس کے بعد میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کوئی نماز پڑھتے نہیں دیکھا مگر آپ قبر کے عذاب سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگتے۔"
