أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا لَمْ تَجِدُوا إِلَّا مَرَابِضَ الْغَنَمِ وَمَعَاطِنَ الْإِبِلِ فَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ»
English Translation
Ahmad bin Ali bin al-Muthanna narrated to us. He said: Ismail bin Ibrahim narrated to us. He said: Sulayman al-Taymi narrated to us from Abu Uthman from Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that one of the daughters of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent word to him that a child of hers was dying and asking him to come. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent back word saying: "To Allah belongs what He takes, and to Him belongs what He gives, and everything with Him has an appointed term. So be patient and seek reward." She sent to him again, swearing that he must come. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up, and Sa'd bin Ubadah, Mu'adh bin Jabal, Ubayy bin Ka'b, Zayd bin Thabit, and some men stood up with him. The child was lifted to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while his soul was disturbed - he described it as if it were a water-skin. His eyes overflowed with tears. Sa'd said: What is this, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "This is mercy that Allah has placed in the hearts of His servants. Allah only has mercy on the merciful among His servants."
Urdu Translation
ہمیں احمد بن علی بن مثنیٰ نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا: ہمیں اسماعیل بن ابراہیم نے حدیث بیان کی، انہوں نے کہا: ہمیں سلیمان تیمی نے ابو عثمان سے، انہوں نے حضرت اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت کی کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ایک بیٹی نے آپ کو پیغام بھیجا کہ ان کا ایک بچہ مر رہا ہے اور آپ سے درخواست کی کہ آپ تشریف لائیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے واپس پیغام بھیجا: "جو اللہ لیتا ہے وہ اسی کا ہے، اور جو وہ دیتا ہے وہ اسی کا ہے، اور اس کے ہاں ہر چیز کا ایک وقت مقرر ہے۔ پس صبر کرو اور ثواب کی امید رکھو۔" انہوں نے دوبارہ قسم کھلا کر آپ کو بلایا۔ پس نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے، اور سعد بن عبادہ، معاذ بن جبل، ابی بن کعب، زید بن ثابت اور کچھ لوگ بھی ان کے ساتھ کھڑے ہوئے۔ بچے کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف اٹھایا گیا جبکہ اس کی جان پریشان تھی - راوی نے بیان کیا کہ یہ ایسے تھا جیسے مشکیزہ۔ آپ کی آنکھوں سے آنسو بہہ نکلے۔ سعد نے کہا: یہ کیا ہے، یا رسول اللہ؟ آپ نے فرمایا: "یہ رحمت ہے جو اللہ نے اپنے بندوں کے دلوں میں رکھی ہے۔ اللہ اپنے بندوں میں سے صرف رحم دلوں پر رحم کرتا ہے۔"
