إذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ فَقُولُوا: وَعَلَيْكُمْ
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "When the People of the Book greet you with salam, say: 'Wa alaykum (and upon you too).'"
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جب تمہیں اہل کتاب سلام کہیں تو انہیں«وَعَلَيْكُمْ»کہو۔“[صحيح بخاري: 6258، 6926، صحيح مسلم: 2163][مختصر حصن المسلم/ابواب/حدیث: 238]
