أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مَا يَظُنُّ أَنْ تَبْلُغَ مَا بَلَغَتْ يَهْوِي بِهَا سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا فِي النَّارِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Verily a man speaks a word — not thinking it will reach the extent it reaches — and he falls because of it seventy autumns into the Fire." This hadith is authentic upon the condition of Muslim, though neither [al-Bukhari nor Muslim] recorded it. [Al-Dhahabi said]: Authentic.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "بے شک آدمی ایک بات کہتا ہے — نہیں سمجھتا کہ وہ کہاں پہنچے گی — اور اس کی وجہ سے آگ میں ستر سال کی گرائی تک گرتا ہے۔" یہ حدیث صحیح مسلم کی شرط پر ہے لیکن دونوں نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا۔ صحیح ہے۔
