حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الْكِلَابِيُّ ثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ ثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْمَهْدِيُّ مِنَّا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ أَشَمُّ الْأَنْفِ أَقْنَى أَجْلَى يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْرًا وَظُلْمًا يَعِيشُ هَكَذَا» وَبَسَطَ يَسَارَهُ وَإِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ يَمِينِهِ الْمُسَبِّحَةَ وَالْإِبْهَامَ وَعَقَدَ ثَلَاثَةً «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» عمران ضعيف ولم يخرج له مسلم
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The Mahdi is from us, the People of the House — aquiline-nosed, with a high forehead and a broad brow. He shall fill the earth with equity and justice as it had been filled with tyranny and oppression. He shall live thus" — and he spread his left hand and two fingers of his right hand, the index and the thumb, and folded three. Al-Hakim said: This is a hadith that is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, though they did not record it. [Al-Dhahabi noted:] 'Imran is weak, and Muslim did not use him as proof.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «مہدی ہم اہل بیت سے ہوگا — اونچی ناک والا، کشادہ پیشانی والا۔ زمین کو انصاف اور عدل سے بھر دے گا جیسا کہ جور اور ظلم سے بھری تھی۔ وہ اتنا عرصہ رہے گا» — آپ نے اپنا بایاں ہاتھ اور دائیں ہاتھ کی دو انگلیاں، شہادت کی انگلی اور انگوٹھا پھیلایا اور تین موڑ لیے۔ حاکم نے کہا: یہ حدیث مسلم کی شرط پر صحیح ہے مگر انہوں نے اسے روایت نہیں کیا۔ [ذہبی نے کہا:] عمران ضعیف ہے اور مسلم نے اس سے حجت نہیں لی۔
