حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى {اذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَافَّ} قَالَ «قِيَامًا عَلَى ثَلَاثِ قَوَائِمَ مَعْقُولَةً بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَإِلَيْكَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم
English Translation
Hadrat 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) said regarding the words of Allah the Blessed and Exalted: 'And mention the name of Allah over them, standing in rows' [al-Hajj 22:36]. He said: 'Standing on three legs with one leg tied, [saying] In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, [this is] from You and to You.' This is a hadith that is sound upon the criteria of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhari and Muslim], and they did not record it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کے فرمان ﴿وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَافَّ﴾ [الحج: ۳۶] کے بارے میں فرمایا: «تین ٹانگوں پر کھڑا ہو اور ایک ٹانگ بندھی ہو (اور کہو) بسم اللہ واللہ اکبر، اللّٰہم! تیری طرف سے ہے اور تیری طرف ہے۔» یہ حدیث شیخین کی شرط پر صحیح ہے اور انہوں نے اسے روایت نہیں کیا۔
