حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْقَتْلَى قِيلَ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ الْعِيرُ لَيْسَ دُونَهَا شَيْءٌ فَنَادَاهُ الْعَبَّاسُ وَهُوَ فِي وَثَاقِهِ أَنَّهُ لَا يَصْلُحُ لَكَ قَالَ «لِمَ؟» قَالَ «لِأَنَّ اللَّهَ وَعَدَكَ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَنْجَزَ لَكَ مَا وَعَدَكَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) finished with the slain (at Badr), it was said to him: The caravan is before you, there is nothing between you and it. Hadrat Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him), while still in his bonds, called out that this was not befitting. He stated: Why? He said: Because Allah promised you one of the two groups, and He has fulfilled for you what He promised. This hadith has an authentic chain of narration, though they did not record it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مقتولین سے فارغ ہوئے (بدر کے دن) تو آپ سے عرض کیا گیا: قافلہ آپ کے سامنے ہے، اس کے درمیان کوئی رکاوٹ نہیں۔ حضرت عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اپنی قید کی حالت میں آواز دی کہ یہ آپ کے لیے مناسب نہیں۔ ارشاد فرمایا: کیوں؟ عرض کیا: کیونکہ اللہ نے آپ سے دو جماعتوں میں سے ایک کا وعدہ کیا تھا اور اس نے آپ سے اپنا وعدہ پورا کر دیا۔ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے مگر انہوں نے اسے روایت نہیں کیا۔
