أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِصْمَةَ ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَا ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا أَصَابَ الْمُكَاتَبُ حَدًّا أَوْ وَرِثَ مِيرَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ يَرِثُ بِقَدْرِ مَا عُتِقَ وَيُقَامُ عَلَيْهِ بِقَدْرِ مَا عُتِقَ مِنْهُ»
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'When the mukatab commits a crime deserving punishment or inherits an inheritance, he inherits according to the proportion of his freedom, and the punishment is applied to him according to the proportion of what has been freed of him.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جب مکاتب حد کا جرم کرے یا وراثت پائے تو وہ آزادی کے حصے کے مطابق وراثت پائے گا اور آزاد ہونے والے حصے کے مطابق حد جاری ہوگی۔
