حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَضْرِبُوا إِمَاءَ اللَّهِ» فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ذَئِرْنَ النِّسَاءُ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِنَّ فَرَخَّصَ فِي ضَرْبِهِنَّ فَأَطَاف�� بِآلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرٌ يَشْتَكِينَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَقَدْ طَافَ بِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرٌ يَشْتَكِينَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ لَيْسَ أُولَائِكَ بِخِيَارِكُمْ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
English Translation
Hadrat Iyas ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Dhubab (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Do not strike the female servants of Allah.' Then Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the women have become bold against their husbands.' So he granted permission to discipline them. Then many women came around to the family of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) complaining about their husbands. The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Many women have come around to the family of Muhammad complaining about their husbands. Those [who beat their wives] are not the best of you.' This hadith has an authentic chain, though the two Shaykhs did not record it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ایاس بن عبد اللہ بن ابی ذباب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اللہ کی بندیوں کو نہ مارو۔ پھر حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! عورتیں اپنے شوہروں پر دلیر ہو گئی ہیں۔ تو آپ نے انہیں مارنے کی اجازت دے دی۔ پھر بہت سی عورتیں آل رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آئیں اپنے شوہروں کی شکایت کرتی ہوئیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بہت سی عورتیں آلِ محمد کے پاس آئی ہیں اپنے شوہروں کی شکایت کرتی ہوئیں۔ وہ (مارنے والے) تم میں سے بہتر نہیں ہیں۔ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن شیخین نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا۔
