حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنِ ابنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَالَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا غُفِرَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ فَارًّا مِنَ الزَّحْفِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط مسلم
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) summoned a tribe from the Arabs to mobilize, but they were reluctant. Then the verse was revealed: 'If you do not march forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment' [al-Tawba 9:39]. He [Ibn Abbas] said: Their punishment was the withholding of rain from them. This hadith has a sound chain of narration, though they did not record it. Abd al-Mu'min ibn Khalid al-Hanafi is among the reliable narrators of Marw.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے عرب کے ایک قبیلے کو جہاد کے لیے بلایا لیکن وہ سستی سے کام لیے۔ تو یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: 'اگر تم نہ نکلو گے تو وہ تمہیں دردناک عذاب دے گا' [التوبہ 9:39]۔ انہوں نے کہا: ان کا عذاب یہ تھا کہ ان سے بارش روک لی گئی۔ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن انہوں نے اسے نقل نہیں کیا۔ عبدالمؤمن بن خالد حنفی مرو کے ثقہ راویوں میں سے ہیں۔
