[Machine] The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم came to me and there were four thousand date pits in front of me. I was using them to make tasbeeh (to glorify Allah). He said, "O daughter of Huwayy! What is this?" I said, "I am making tasbeeh with them." He said, "I have been making tasbeeh since I ascended to your head more than this." I said, "Teach me, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Say, 'Subhanallah' (Glory be to Allah) the number of all the things He created." حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا شَاذُّ بْنُ فَيَّاضٍ ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ كِنَانَةَ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافِ نَوَاةٍ أُسَبِّحُ بِهِنَّ فَقَالَ «يَا بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ مَا هَذَا؟» قُلْتُ أُسَبِّحُ بِهِنَّ قَالَ «قَدْ سَبَّحْتُ مُنْذُ قُمْتُ عَ��َى رَأْسِكِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ هَذَا» قُلْتُ عَلِّمْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «قُولِي سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَدَدَ مَا خَلَقَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ»
English Translation
Hadrat Safiyyah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came to me and before me were four thousand date pits with which I was making tasbeeh (glorifying Allah). He stated: "O daughter of Huyayy! What is this?" I said: "I am making tasbeeh with them." He stated: "I have glorified Allah since I stood over your head more than this amount." I said: "Teach me, O Messenger of Allah!" He stated: "Say: 'Glory be to Allah, equal to the number of everything He has created.'"
Urdu Translation
حضرت صفیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم میرے پاس تشریف لائے اور میرے سامنے چار ہزار گٹھلیاں تھیں جن سے میں تسبیح پڑھ رہی تھی۔ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: "اے حیی کی بیٹی! یہ کیا ہے؟" میں نے عرض کیا: ان سے تسبیح پڑھ رہی ہوں۔ ارشاد فرمایا: "جب سے میں تمہارے سر پر کھڑا ہوا ہوں اس سے زیادہ تسبیح پڑھ چکا ہوں۔" میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! مجھے سکھائیے۔ ارشاد فرمایا: "کہو: سبحان اللہ اس کی ہر مخلوق کی تعداد کے برابر۔"
