English Translation

"It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say these words in the morning: 'Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah, wal-hamdu lillah, wal-kibriya'u wal-azamatu lillah, wal-khalqu wal-amru wal-laylu wan-naharu wa ma sakana fihima lillah. Allahumma-j'al awwala hadhan-nahari salahan, wa awsatahu najahan, wa akhirahu falahan, ya arhamar-rahimin' (We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah, all praise belongs to Allah, greatness and majesty belong to Allah, the creation and the command and the night and day and all that dwells therein belong to Allah. O Allah, make the beginning of this day righteousness, its middle success, and its end salvation, O Most Merciful of the merciful)."
