أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : بَلَغَنِي، أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، قَالَ، إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهًمَا يُخْبِرُ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَصَابَهُ جُرْحٌ فِي عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ أَصَابَهُ احْتِلَامٌ،" فَأُمِرَ بِالِاغْتِسَالِ "، فَمَاتَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " قَتَلُوهُ، قَتَلَهُمْ اللَّهُ، أَلَمْ يَكُنْ شِفَاءَ الْعِيِّ السُّؤَالُ؟ "، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ : " لَوْ غَسَلَ جَسَدَهُ، وَتَرَكَ رَأْسَهُ حَيْثُ أَصَابَهُ الْجُرْحُ "
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated: A man was wounded during the time of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), then he had a wet dream. He was ordered to perform a full bath, and he died (from the wound). When this reached the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), he stated: 'They killed him, may Allah destroy them! Was not the cure for ignorance to ask?' Ata said: It reached me that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was later asked and stated: 'He should have washed his body and left his head (the wounded area).'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ایک شخص کو زخم لگا، پھر اسے احتلام ہوا۔ اسے غسل کرنے کا حکم دیا گیا (جس سے) وہ مر گیا۔ جب یہ بات نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو پہنچی تو ارشاد فرمایا: انہوں نے اسے مار ڈالا، اللہ انہیں مارے! کیا جہالت کا علاج سوال نہیں تھا؟ عطاء فرماتے ہیں: مجھے یہ بھی پہنچا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے بعد میں پوچھا گیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: وہ اپنا جسم دھو لیتا اور سر (زخم والی جگہ) چھوڑ دیتا۔
