حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَيَخْطُبُ إِلَى جِذْعٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ الْمِنْبَرَ، فَلَمَّا اتَّخَذَ الْمِنْبَرَ، تَحَوَّلَ إِلَيْهِ، حَنَّ الْجِذْعُ فَاحْتَضَنَهُ فَسَكَنَ، وَقَالَ : " لَوْ لَمْ أَحْتَضِنْهُ، لَحَنَّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ". حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِثْلَهُ
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to deliver the sermon leaning against a tree trunk before he had the pulpit made. When he had the pulpit made and moved to it, the trunk moaned (in longing). He embraced it and it became calm. He stated: 'Had I not embraced it, it would have continued moaning until the Day of Resurrection.' And Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) also narrated the same from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم منبر بنوانے سے پہلے ایک تنے کے ساتھ ٹیک لگا کر خطبہ دیتے تھے۔ جب آپ نے منبر بنوایا اور اس کی طرف منتقل ہوئے تو تنے نے آواز نکالی۔ آپ نے اسے گلے لگایا تو وہ خاموش ہو گیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: 'اگر میں اسے گلے نہ لگاتا تو یہ قیامت تک آواز نکالتا رہتا۔' اور حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے بھی ایسی ہی روایت ہے۔
