حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ أَوْ قَدْ خَرَجَ، فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ "
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that he stated: 'When any of you arrives while the Imam is delivering the sermon, or has already come out (to the pulpit), let him pray two rak'ahs.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'جب تم میں سے کوئی آئے اور امام خطبہ دے رہا ہو یا نکل چکا ہو تو دو رکعتیں پڑھ لے۔'
