أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَكَبَّرَ، فَكَبَّرَ النَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَنَزَلَ الْقَهْقَرَى فَسَجَدَ فِي أَصْلِ الْمِنْبَرِ، ثُمَّ عَادَ حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ آخِرِ صَلَاتِهِ ". قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : فِي ذَلِكَ رُخْصَةٌ لِلْإِمَامِ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَرْفَعَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ وَقَدْرُ هَذَا الْعَمَلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَيْضًا
English Translation
Hadrat Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: "I saw the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sit on the pulpit and say the Takbir, and the people behind him said the Takbir. Then he bowed while on the pulpit, then raised his head and descended backward and prostrated at the base of the pulpit. Then he returned and continued until he completed his prayer." Abu Muhammad said: In this there is a concession for the Imam to be in a higher position than the congregation.
Urdu Translation
حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: "میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ منبر پر بیٹھے اور تکبیر کہی، اور لوگوں نے آپ کے پیچھے تکبیر کہی۔ پھر آپ نے منبر پر رکوع کیا، پھر سر اٹھایا اور پیچھے ہٹ کر اترے اور منبر کی تہ میں سجدہ کیا۔ پھر واپس گئے اور یہی کرتے رہے جب تک نماز مکمل نہ ہو گئی۔" ابو محمد نے کہا: اس میں امام کے مقتدیوں سے بلند جگہ پر ہونے کی اجازت ہے۔
