Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ:"الْقِنْطَارُ: أَرْبَعُونَ أَلْفًا".
English Translation
Abdullah said: "It was difficult for us to memorize the words of the Quran, but it was easy for us to act upon them. After us will come people for whom memorizing the Quran will be easy, but acting upon it will be difficult."
Urdu Translation
سعید بن المسيب رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: قنطار چالیس ہزار کا ہوتا ہے۔[سنن دارمي/من كتاب فضائل القرآن /حدیث: 3498]
