حَدَّثَنَامُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَامُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْيُحَنَّسَمَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْسَالِمٍأَخِي أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ فِي اللَّهِ، عَنْأُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْأَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:"مَنْ قَرَأَ مِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ، كُتِبَ مِنْ الْقَانِتِينَ".
English Translation
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded me to recite while standing, and Jibril commanded me to present the Quran to him, and he used to present it once a year. But in the year of his death, he presented it to him twice. And he used to seclude himself for ten days each year, but in the year he passed away, he secluded himself for twenty days."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابودرداء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے، نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جو آدمی رات میں دو سو آیات پڑھے وہ قانتین (اطاعت گزاروں) میں لکھ دیا گیا۔“[سنن دارمي/من كتاب فضائل القرآن /حدیث: 3488]
