حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ مِشْرَحِ بْنِ هَاعَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" لَوْ جُعِلَ الْقُرْآنُ فِي إِهَابٍ، ثُمَّ أُلْقِيَ فِي النَّارِ، مَا احْتَرَقَ "
English Translation
Hadrat Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) state: "If the Quran were placed in a leather skin and then thrown into the fire, it would not burn."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو ارشاد فرماتے سنا: "اگر قرآن چمڑے میں رکھا جائے پھر آگ میں ڈالا جائے تو نہ جلے۔"
