Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" الْإِخْوَةُ مِنْ الْأُمِّ يَتَوَارَثُونَ دُونَ بَنِي الْعَلَّاتِ، يَرِثُ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ لِأَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ، دُونَ أَخِيهِ لِأَبِيهِ "
English Translation
Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: "Maternal brothers inherit from each other to the exclusion of the paternal half-brothers. A man inherits from his full brother to the exclusion of his paternal half-brother."
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "مادری بھائی ایک دوسرے سے وراثت پاتے ہیں علاتی بھائیوں کو چھوڑ کر۔ آدمی اپنے حقیقی بھائی سے وراثت پاتا ہے اپنے علاتی بھائی کو چھوڑ کر۔"
