Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عِيسَى الْخياط ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عُمَرُ " يُقَاسِمُ بِالْجَدِّ مَعَ الْأَخِ وَالْأَخَوَيْنِ، فَإِذَا زَادُوا أَعْطَاهُ الثُّلُثَ، وَكَانَ يُعْطِيهِ مَعَ الْوَلَدِ السُّدُسَ
English Translation
Al-Sha'bi narrated: Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) used to share between the grandfather and one or two brothers. When there were more, he would give him (the grandfather) one third. And he would give him one sixth alongside a child.
Urdu Translation
شعبی بیان کرتے ہیں: حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ دادا اور ایک یا دو بھائیوں کے درمیان مقاسمہ فرماتے تھے۔ جب وہ زیادہ ہو جاتے تو دادا کو تہائی دیتے۔ اور اولاد کے ساتھ اسے سدس دیتے۔
