أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ أَحَدِكُمْ قَيْحًا أَوْ دَمًا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا "
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'It is better for the belly of one of you to be filled with pus or blood than to be filled with poetry.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'تم میں سے کسی کا پیٹ پیپ یا خون سے بھر جائے یہ اس سے بہتر ہے کہ وہ (فحش) شعر سے بھرا ہو۔'
