حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" إِنَّكُمْ تُدْعَوْنَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَسْمَائِكُمْ وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِكُمْ، فَأَحْسِنُوا أَسْمَاءَكُمْ "
English Translation
Hadrat Abu al-Darda (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'You will be called on the Day of Resurrection by your names and the names of your fathers, so make your names good (choose beautiful names).'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'تم قیامت کے دن اپنے ناموں اور اپنے باپوں کے ناموں سے پکارے جاؤ گے، پس اپنے نام اچھے رکھو۔'
