أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاق الْفَزَارِيُّ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَظَفِرَ بِالْمُشْرِكِينَ فَأَسْرَعَ النَّاسُ فِي الْقَتْلِ حَتَّى قَتَلُوا الذُّرِّيَّةَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ :" مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ ذَهَبَ بِهِمْ الْقَتْلُ حَتَّى قَتَلُوا الذُّرِّيَّةَ؟ أَلا لا تُقْتَلَنَّ ذُرِّيَّةً ثَلَاثًا "
English Translation
Hadrat al-Aswad ibn Sari' (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: We went out with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on an expedition. He prevailed over the polytheists and the people hastened in killing until they killed the offspring. When that reached the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), he stated: "What is wrong with people that they exceeded in killing until they killed the offspring? Indeed the best of you are the sons of the polytheists. Do not kill any offspring. Every child is born upon the fitrah (natural disposition). It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian."
Urdu Translation
حضرت اسود بن سریع رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک غزوے میں نکلے۔ آپ مشرکوں پر غالب آئے تو لوگوں نے قتل میں جلدی کی یہاں تک کہ بچوں کو بھی قتل کیا۔ جب یہ بات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو پہنچی تو ارشاد فرمایا: "لوگوں کو کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ قتل میں حد سے گزر گئے یہاں تک کہ بچوں کو بھی قتل کیا؟ بے شک تمہارے بہترین لوگ مشرکوں کی اولاد ہیں۔ کسی بچے کو قتل نہ کرو۔ ہر بچہ فطرت پر پیدا ہوتا ہے، پھر اس کے ماں باپ اسے یہودی یا عیسائی بنا دیتے ہیں۔"
